British Inline Skater Hockey:

British Inline Hockey was officially recognised as a UK Sport in the 1980’s and was formerly known as Street Hockey played in Inner Cities. As the sport evolved so did the International Organisation (IISHF) and since the 1990’s Team GB have competed at International Level collecting many medals at all age groups.

BISHA Board:

The New BISHA Board was formed in 2020 with the remit to ensure we have a structure & constitution in place to develop and implement strategic growth and be accountable for the execution. The new board is very diverse and committed to our historic values, but also determined to embrace new working practices, process and technology to both cultivate and excite the current and prospective membership and continually keep the BISHA Hockey community informed.

Role Purpose:

The role of the BISHA Disciplinary manager is to work closely with the national technical director to draw up, develop and implement a new disciplinary policy & process. This process and policy needs to ensure that all disciplinary decisions are made in a fair and transparent way and are uniform with any that have come before. Once this is developed, it is key that it is managed and implemented in a professional and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

· To help develop a strategy for the disciplinary process that is practical for all parties and allows disciplinary matters to be handled in a professional and timely manner.

· Research and present disciplinary process’ from other sports to ensure that BiSHA aligns itself accordingly.

· To draw in volunteers to form a pool of disciplinary panel members to be drawn on in the case of a hearing.

· To collate statement from all involved parties when a disciplinary incident has taken place and distribute to panel members for them to meet and discuss

· Organise members of the disciplinary pool to create panels for each hearing ensuring all members are available to meet and discuss.

· Communicate with sanctioned players on decisions that have been made following hearings.

· Create a formal report to be presented to the board through the National Technical Director on what decisions have been made following hearings.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to manage a group of volunteers as and when they become required. This will also help the individual operate well with the technical & sports management team; This person should have a ‘can do’ approach which engages people positively to drive change; There should be a readiness to do research and gather information in order to inform and direct for the development this should accompany a willingness to present, discuss and understand; The candidate should also contribute positively to BISHA culture and have the ability and operate under their own initiative.

Role Purpose:

The role of the BISHA Sport Development Lead is to work closely with the CEO and senior management group to develop a strategy for expansion of the sport and development of new and existing players for every target area. To set up a frame work and commission that enables the delivery of growth as swiftly and sustainably as possible.

Responsibilities:

• To provide a strategy for growth of the sport including defined target setting and periodic reporting to the board

.• Outline key areas and groups and set target for growth - placing emphasis on street roots / entry level within the sport for girls and boys

• Develop a strategy for additional recreational participation for all ages, gender and abilities

• Create a national programme which engage the clubs and members to activate and sustain their own growth as well as initiatives for new team/club start-up.

• Map team/club, regional, national and international skater hockey hot spots in order to target key geographical areas in the UK.

• Develop and promote club relationships/partnership with local communities, schools and clubs for membership, events and infrastructure prospects.

• Expose and promote BISHA events, fixtures and tournaments.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop an overarching strategy with deliberate and relevant commitment to meet agreed objectives.

• Advice and support in the development of regulations which create the solid platform for growth and competition quality.

• Create, recruit and expand a team with the right skills to support in the responsibilities of the role.

• Manage budget either allocated by BISHA or generated through development projects in close coordination with the Chief Executive of Operations and Chief Financial Officer.

To ensure that your planning is tightly aligned with other Team GB Management.

Responsibilities:

· Team Training Booking & Coordination

· Management of Team Budget

· Player & TGB U/16 Wellbeing

· Booking of Team Travel and Accommodation

· Accountable for all required IISHF/BISHA Document Administration

· Upkeep of player information record management

· Responsible for all Crime Identification Bureau (CIB) validation

Personal Specification:

BISHA are ideally looking for someone with a passion for sport and knowledge of Inline Hockey. We are searching for an ambassador for Team U/16 and preferably (not essential) have good connections within the hockey youth community domestically and be able to reach out and engage with all prospective team members. This person would need to be happy to work as part of a team and under their own initiative. They should also have good communication and social skills.

Role Purpose:

The Assistant Coach will be expected to act as an ambassador and diplomat for Team GB and follow IISHF/BISHA regulation.

Responsibilities:

· Preparation of Team GB U/16 Training Sessions

· Lead training drills/sessions (both on rink and off rink classroom sessions)

· Work closely with the Fitness Teams to support player conditioning, nutrition and well-being

· Support player analysis, scouting and selection process

· Work closely with other Team GB Coaches

Personal Specification:

The candidate must be professional under pressure, have strong interpersonal skills to work within Team GB Management Team. Ability to contribute positively to BISHA culture and have ability to work under pressure using their own initiative. The candidate should also be open to embracing new sporting technology and coaching best practices.

· Assist with Planning of fitness sessions at Team GB Camps and Training Sessions

· Support with the undertaking of all Team GB Fitness sessions and warm up/down routines

· Regular measurement and monitoring of Team GB athlete metrics/key performance indicators

· Preparation and Presentation of material for classroom education sessions

· Oversight of Team GB Men diet and nutrition pre/during tournament

· Careful monitoring of athlete injuries and well-being

Personal Specification:

BISHA are ideally looking for someone with a passion for sport and knowledge of Inline Hockey, with PT or Fitness Coaching experience and a background in athlete analysis. This person would need to be happy to work as part of a team and they should have excellent diplomacy and communication/social skills.

Role Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive analysis and insights for Team GB Coaches to gain competitive edge. This will involve collecting on-rink data from a variety of sources and then analysing and interpreting the data to identify meaningful insights. On-rink data includes player performance and fitness, as well as the viability of team plays and tactics for both Team GB and opponents. The individual will work directly with the Team GB coaches to shape areas of interest and assess returned analysis/conclusions as well as monitoring regular key performance indicators. Team GB are open in relation to the candidates preferred tools required to undertake the position, but already available for user are Hockey Coach Vision (HCV) and AI-Spotter.

Responsibilities:

· Identifying opportunities for analysis with Team GB Coaches

· Gathering key data for analysis and interpretation

· Regular monitoring of Team GB metrics/key performance indicators

· Preparation and Presentation of analysis to Team GB Coaches

· In-tournament match analysis and playback

· Hosting of Team GB data in accordance with data privacy standards

Personal Specification:

BISHA are ideally looking for someone with a passion for sport and knowledge of Inline Hockey, with experience of previous coaching or background in data analysis. This person would need to be happy to work as part of a team and under own their initiative. They should also have excellent communication and social skills.
