He has let us know that he still passionately believes that having an Operations Manager is the right move for BISHA, but it needs more time and commitment than he is able to give it this year, and therefore it would be better if someone with more time for the role was appointed . He is still maintaining his job as Media and Marketing Officer, and will continue to support BISHA in every way.

A nice relaxing opening ceremony on the Friday evening saw us catch sight of the other teams as we were called out 1 by 1 following the Union Jack to officially take our place at the tournament. An early night followed, ready to play in the morning.

The London Knightz had been preparing for the under 16s European championships as soon as we found out we were going! All the kids worked extremely hard to make sure they were in good shape for when we got there. The opening ceremony went great with Knightz looking smart in their shirt and ties followed by a chilled evening ready for a big day the next day. The first game was against Rossemaison which was always going to be a tough game. We managed a score of 4-1 in favour to Rossemaison. The next game was against HC Mad dogs where we lost 4-2, the next game was against a strong Crefelder team which was always going to be a tough game which ended with a score of 11-1. The final game of the day was against Vikings which ended 0-9. After a tough day on the Saturday we faced the other GB team the Chippy Trixsters which was close throughout but they ended up with the win with a final score of 2-1. This meant we faced SHC Rolling Aventicum in the battle for 9th and 10th place. We lost 7-1 which meant we ended the tournament in 10th place.

Just a short reminder that transfer rules are different for players and netminders, players can only transfer once in each half of the season, and netminders, though free to transfer more frequently, incur increasing costs with each transfer, ie £20 first one, £40 second one and so on.
Players should be aware that if they intend to leave a club or team, it is a good idea to put this in writing and make sure you have an acknowledgement from the club that they know your leaving date. Clubs need to make their regional membership secretary aware of any player owing money and request a formal suspension until the debt is cleared.
