Refresh your membership rules knowledge March 14

Just a short reminder that transfer rules are different for players and netminders, players can only transfer once in each half of the season, and netminders, though free to transfer more frequently, incur increasing costs with each transfer, ie £20 first one, £40 second one and so on.

Players should be aware that if they intend to leave a club or team, it is a good idea to put this in writing and make sure you have an acknowledgement from the club that they know your leaving date.  Clubs need to make their regional membership secretary aware of any player owing money and request a formal suspension until the debt is cleared.

BISHA AGM November 29

BISHA should have had an AGM by the end of November this year, but due to International and Nationals commitments etc, it hasn't been possible to arrange one in time. Furthermore, for the last four years at least, the AGM has been poorly attended and we did wonder whether the cost of holding a meeting with the BISHA Board outnumbering the attendees was no longer cost effective.

GB v Switzerland October 22

We started day 3 being put into the top pool, pool c, to determine the Semi Final placings, and what a start to the day!

This game was excellent to watch and had both sets of supporters out of their seats on more than one occasion.

GB and the Swiss were out on the rink early to warm up and with two minutes left the British went back to the locker room and made the Swiss team wait for their arrival whilst they stood on the rink waiting for the ceremonial stick wave.

Day One - U19 European Championships October 15

So day one of the U19 European Championships are finished for Team GB , and Day one was a good outing for the team.

They started the day against the Austrian team who were hitting the GB team well on the break, with the British controlling the game with a good maturity for a young team. The British team came back from 3 goals down to make it 4-3, only for the Austrians to equalise in the dying moments.
