London Kinightz U16 Euros review

July 4

The London Knightz had been preparing for the under 16s European championships as soon as we found out we were going! All the kids worked extremely hard to make sure they were in good shape for when we got there. The opening ceremony went great with Knightz looking smart in their shirt and ties followed by a chilled evening ready for a big day the next day. The first game was against Rossemaison which was always going to be a tough game. We managed a score of 4-1 in favour to Rossemaison. The next game was against HC Mad dogs where we lost 4-2, the next game was against a strong Crefelder team which was always going to be a tough game which ended with a score of 11-1. The final game of the day was against Vikings which ended 0-9. After a tough day on the Saturday we faced the other GB team the Chippy Trixsters which was close throughout but they ended up with the win with a final score of 2-1. This meant we faced SHC Rolling Aventicum in the battle for 9th and 10th place. We lost 7-1 which meant we ended the tournament in 10th place.

Even though we didn't win a game we know we tried our best and that we all throughly enjoyed ourselves, the kids as well as parents and spectators and we know that if we get the chance to take part again next year we know what to expect and will come back fighting even harder!!
