National Championships Announced. July 20

Bishahockey are pleased to announce that the 2016 Nationals will be held as follows:

5/6th November 2016, Midland Roller Arena, Lutterworth, LE17 5JD Youth and Senior Plate. 8 team youth, Plate to be announced.

11/12th November 2016, Midand Roller Arena, Lutterworth, LE17 5JD Peewee and Junior. 5 teams at each age group.

Team GB Hockey School July 17

Team GB is opening its doors to the hockey comunity. If you want to train with the national team, well you can on the 3 September at bisley from 1pm. This is open to all age groups from peewees to seniors.

You will be training with Head Coach, Andrew Sillitoe, U19 Head Coach Tom Dickinson, Team GB Academy Head Coach BarryJames, Head of UK Ice Hockey Player Development Pete Winn. Whilst also working with some of the current Mens GB team.

Team GB Announce 2016 Squad July 15

BISHA would like to announce the 2016 Team GB to take part in the European Championships, Croatia.

We spoke to Head Coach Andrew Sillitoe on the announcement and this is what he had to say....

"I am very excited about this team and its potential. The players have worked extremely hard and I am grateful to all the players who attended the trials and pushed each other for a spot on the team. Our mission is win gold in Croatia and showcase Great Britain as a leader in Skater Hockey.

Team GB Announce Principle Sponsor July 11

The BISHA men’s Team GB team are proud to announce that for the European Cup 2016, being held in Croatia have signed a deal with Stott and May, the executive search recruitment agency, to be the principle team sponsor.

When speaking to Tom Dickinson today, he had nothing but praise for teams coming into the 17th John Spight memorial tournament, releasing players to be able to play for Team GB in preparation of this years European Championships

As the BISHA Peewee National Champions (U13) for the 2015 season they are playin in Kaarst, Germany for the right to be named the best in Europe against the best that the rest of Europe has to offer.

BISHA announce new TEAM GB coach September 3

BISHA would like to announce the appointment of our new senior Team GB coach… Andrew Sillitoe.

Andrew comes with a wealth of experience as both a player and a coach across Europe and the US, being capped 77 times he was part of the 1997 winning team in Germany, BISHA’s only gold medal to date.

The Chippy Trixsters are off to Switzerland this weekend August 12

The Chippy Trixsters are off to Switzerland this weekend, after winning Nationals, they are representing Great Britain for the European Tournament. 

 The Chippy Trixsters Peewee Team are a group of dedicated Hockey players, who all go to local schools and live in the same community. The team have played together for the last three seasons, improving and developing their hockey skills tremendously. Chipping Norton Skater Hockey Club encourages and welcomes all players of all abilities, allowing them to have fun by playing hockey at all levels of competitions . This will be the teams last tournament playing together, as they are all growing up and moving up. We are looking forward to a great Tourament, playing good hockey as well as meeting new people and making new friends. Thank you to all our parents, managers and coaches for all their encouragement, support and dedication over the years. Without them we would not be here, thank you. Lastly, a big thank you to our hosts.

Team GB showcase Inline Hockey at Moulsham Infants School, Chelmsford June 5

Team GB went on the road and showcased Inline Hockey at Moulsham Infants School in Chelmsford, who made us very welcome - thank you.

The first part of the afternoon was a quick intro from me, some hockey video footage, dressing one of the children in full hockey kit and a quick round of questions for the children to answer. Next Team GB Fitness Coach Thomas Worsfold took the children out into the sun and gave them some running and hockey exercises to do. Finally before our demo match the children did a little stick work and beat the netminder challenge.

Warriors win the 2015 Rothaus Cup in Europe!!! May 27

London Street Warriors from Great Britain won the Men B-Tournament Rothaus Cup 2015 hosted by RV Spaichingen in Germany on May 23-24, 2015. In the final London Street Warriors won 3-2 against HC Merdingen from Germany. James Tanner also got into the All Star Team.
